My 7 Day Detox Results

So I went a bit bonkers in recent times, stuffing all calorie loaded unhealthy stuff into my mouth without a care, exercise being equal to zero except about 6000 steps that I would log in daily on an average, thanks to the commute.

Hence the decision to go on a sort of detox diet. All that I allowed myself in these 7 days were fruits, milk and yogurt. I did’t care if the fruits also included bananas and mangoes. To be honest, I tried having at the least, 2 bananas a day to keep my energy levels up, lest I feel weak. Also I cheated twice with fro-yo without any added flavors.

The result, I weighed 8 pounds less than when I started.

This is what I ate:

Day 1:

Early morning – 1 big bowl of pineapple
Mid Morning – 1 big bowl of kiwi
Lunch – 4 wedges of melon
Dinner – Banana milkshake made of 2 bananas, 300ml almond
milk and stevia

Day 2:

Early morning – Yogurt + Mango + Strawberry smoothie
Mid Morning – 1 banana
Lunch – Green apple + Black grape + broccoli smoothie
Dinner – 500ml almond milk

Day 3:

Early morning – Yogurt + Mango + Strawberry smoothie
Mid Morning – 1 banana
Lunch – Green apple + Black grape + broccoli smoothie
Dinner – Sugarcane juice (500ml)**wrong move, checked calories later, a 100 ml of sugarcane juice is a whopping 266 calories!!!

Day 4:

Early morning – Yogurt + Mango + Strawberry smoothie
Mid Morning – 1 banana
Lunch – Green apple + Black grape + broccoli smoothie
Dinner – Fro-yo without added flavors with fruits

Day 5:

Early morning – Yogurt + Mango + Strawberry smoothie
Mid Morning – 1 banana
Lunch – Green apple + Black grape + broccoli smoothie
Dinner – Fro-yo Smoothie

Day 6:

Early morning – Yogurt + Mango + Strawberry smoothie
Mid Morning – 1 banana
Lunch – Green apple + Black grape + broccoli smoothie
Dinner- Strawberry milkshake made of 8 strawberries, 300ml milk and
stevia

Day 7:

Early morning – 1 banana
Mid Morning – 1 big bowl of fruit salad
Lunch – 1 big bowl of fruit salad
Dinner – Strawberry milkshake made of 8 strawbwrries, 300ml milk and
stevia
Post Dinner – 300ml almond milk

For exercise, I tried to go upto 10,000 steps a day as compared to the 6000 I was already logging in and also tried to get some yoga into the mix which trust me made me feel not only healthy but at peace.

For Yoga sessions, I hit Talise Spa at Al Qasr, Dubai. They hold these Beach Yoga sessions every evening at 5:30 which are fabulous.
